Hemant Pandit
Clinical Director
Professor Hemant Pandit has pursued a career in translational research in orthopaedics, is particularly interested in hip and knee arthroplasty and was the first to describe the problems associated with metal-on-metal hips. Hemant is keen to expand research in fields including musculoskeletal sciences, implantable and wearable sensors, kinematics and RSA, biomedical engineering, pain management, international health.
Christoph Wälti
Scientific Director
Christoph Wälti is Professor of Bionanotechnology in the School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering. His research interests lie in molecular nanotechnology with particular focus on self-assembly applications and the interface between biology and semiconductors.
Ruth Wilcox
Scientific Director
Ruth is Director of the Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering and Professor of Biomedical Engineering in the School of Mechanical Engineering. Her research interests include development and evaluation of medical devices and interventions for the musculoskeletal system, including the hip, knee, spine and ankle.
