Why Leeds?

Become part of our welcoming and diverse community with students from all over the world.

I was scared and excited about studying in a different country, but the support provided by the University helped me settle in quickly.”

Kari Medalla, student

Our Russell Group university has a single-site campus. It’s really easy to get around and there are lots of places to meet friends. Students from many different countries call Leeds home during their degrees, with the city centre (located nearby) offering a culturally rich environment. Various activities (such as our Global Café events and our Language Zone workshops) give you the chance to meet your fellow students in a relaxed space.

If you’re enthusiastic and want to learn something new with cutting-edge technology, then Leeds is the place to be.”

As well as robust academic support, we can help you with job applications, work experience, access to relevant events and other opportunities such as volunteering, business start-up support and studying and working abroad. This support is also available after graduation to make sure you have everything you need for a successful career.

My placement [...] incorporated so many transferable skills and encouraged me to think analytically.”

If you need to work during your studies, we have several on-campus jobs at Leeds University Union. These include hospitality jobs, retail jobs, and part-time roles in areas like communications and marketing. The Joblink employment agency located in the Leeds University Union can also connect you to off-campus Leeds businesses.
