English Language minimum for postgraduate study

NCEA Level 3 at Merit, You will need IELTS 6.5 overall, GCSE English C or 4 or an equivalent qualification: Check which English language qualifications we accept.

Applicants who have studied in New Zealand for at least two years to complete an undergraduate degree or one year to complete a Masters degree, where the medium of instruction was English, are not required to undertake further English language tests.
Postgraduate Research exemptions

Typical entry requirements

Excellence in 60 credits (three 20 credit subjects) and Merit in 20 credits -
Merit in 80 credits (four 20 credit subjects)
All at level 3
