Qualifications we accept for undergraduate study
If you live in the US:
Our standard requirement is your High School Diploma with a minimum 3.0 GPA including two Honors classes at grades A+ to B, plus at least one other qualification from the list that follows.
If you hold a combination of qualifications not listed, please contact the course admissions team. Contact details can be found on Course Search.
Advanced Placement tests (AP)
We require one AP at grade 4 or 5 alongside your High School Diploma and two Honors classes. Any subject-specific requirements for the course you have applied for must be met with an AP.
If you have not taken two Honors classes, we can also accept one AP in place of one Honors class (e.g. one Honors class + two APs, or three APs).
International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Courses
We require one Higher Level (HL) Diploma course at grade 4-6 alongside your High School Diploma and two Honors classes. Subject-specific requirements for the course you have applied for can be met with a HL Diploma course instead of an AP.
If you have not taken two Honors classes, we can accept one HL course in place of one Honors class (e.g. one Honors class + two HLs, or three HLs, or one Honors class + one AP + 1 HL).
If your course requires two subjects at A-level, you can meet them using one AP and one HL.
Dual Enrolment / college courses
For courses with no subject-specific requirements, we can accept one Dual Enrolment course at grade A+ to B alongside your High School Diploma and two Honors classes.
If you have not taken two Honors classes, we can accept one Dual Enrolment course in place of one Honors Class (e.g. one Honors class + two Dual Enrolment courses, or three Dual Enrolment courses).
Subject-specific requirements must still be met with an AP or an IB Diploma course at HL (e.g. one Honors class + one Dual Enrolment course + one AP or HL, or two Dual Enrolment courses + one AP or HL).
SAT II subject tests
If you hold a SAT II taken prior to their discontinuation in 2021, we may consider this in place of an AP or HL subject with grades 650-750. We may also consider a SAT II to meet a subject-specific requirement, and one SAT II in place of one Honors class (e.g. one Honors class + two SAT IIs, or a SAT II test plus two out of any other qualifications mentioned on this page).
Associate degrees
Associate degrees with no less than 3.0 GPA from a minimum of two years’ study may be considered alongside a High School Diploma on a case-by-case basis. Please send your module specifications and, if possible, a provisional transcript to the course admissions team. Contact details can be found on Course Search.
When completing your UCAS application
Please include any courses or tests you are taking or intend to take, which have not been awarded yet. There is a section in the UCAS form where you can provide details of qualifications not yet awarded. This enables us to take everything into account when deciding on the best offer we can make you.
