Entry requirements
The minimum age to study on this course is 18.
We normally accept an English language level of between Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) B1 and C1 (lower intermediate / independent to lower advanced / proficient).
Check International Language Testing System (IELTS) and CEFR equivalencies.
This course isn't suitable for beginners or if your English language level is higher than CEFR C1. If you need a Student visa to study in the UK, you'll need to supply a secure English language test (SELT)
Not sure about your current level of English?
If you're not sure whether your level of English is suitable for this course, or you don't have an English language qualification, email the Language Centre at elapplications@leeds.ac.uk for advice. If you have an English qualification, please include a copy in your email.
How to apply
Apply using our online form. Please read the guidance notes on the form carefully and include all supporting documents. Incomplete applications will not be accepted and will delay the decision on your application.
Please note, we may have a maximum number of places per course. Meeting the entry requirements and applying by the deadline, therefore, doesn't guarantee you an offer to study. We encourage you to apply as early as possible.
