Funding for Latin American students

We have agreements with organisations across Latin America to provide funding for Masters and PhD students.

You will need to apply for your course and receive an offer letter before you can apply for a scholarship or loan from a funding body. You can search for courses and check our international entry requirements

Tuition fee deposit

If you are sponsored by one of the Latin American funding bodies previously mentioned, you do not have to pay a tuition fee deposit before beginning your course.

You will need to present evidence of the funding that you have been awarded to be exempt from paying the tuition fee deposit. To send proof of funding, email the International Office via sponsorsupport@leeds.ac.uk. Include your name and University of Leeds student ID in the subject.

After you have provided proof of your funding, you will be sent a letter by email to confirm the discount you have been awarded on the tuition fee. You will need to take this letter with you to your visa appointment to present with your Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) and other supporting documents.
