Our support
We offer tailored support to current and prospective mature, part-time and foundation level students, and apprentices, studying at undergraduate level.
This includes free and impartial careers guidance and advice for adult learners returning to study, one-to-one advice sessions, study skills support, and open days and subject events to help students decide on their pathway into higher education.
The Lifelong Learning Centre is open 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, throughout the year. Our welcome desk offers information and signposting services and students can drop in any time to chat with a member of staff or book an appointment to see our support teams. Our common room spaces are child-friendly, and we have a small referencing library for our students.

Designing support with our students
We design our support in partnership with our students. Our Mature Student Advisory Board and Foundation Year Student Advisory Board are made up of mature undergraduates and foundation year students, representing different subjects and the diversity of student experiences across the University.
The boards create an environment where students can make suggestions that make a real difference to the student experience at Leeds. Their voices and experiences can inform the development of our courses, as well as the support we offer to our students.
The support from the Lifelong Learning Centre put my fears to rest about university life. The inclusive environment made the transition to university much easier.
