Our teaching
We deliver courses that encourage and support student diversity, with a focus on students from under-represented groups or those who don’t have traditional qualifications.
Our courses
We teach:
- extended degrees with a foundation year
- undergraduate courses for part-time and mature learners
- higher and degree apprenticeships.
We have also launched a free online course: ‘Inclusive Education: Exploring SEND Practice and Strategies’. This short, four-week course is designed to help its students to understand and support diverse learners.
An inclusive approach
96% of our finalists have rated our academic support as excellent
Our teaching is designed to be inclusive and we value the life and work experience our learners bring to the classroom. We usually teach in small class sizes which means that we can quickly respond to student support needs.
For learners returning to study after a gap or those requiring more support after A-levels, we have a dedicated academic skills team who will work with students to offer tailored support with time management, referencing and research skills.

Student stories
I found the environment at the LLC caring and nurturing. The teachers were engaged in discussions with students, and I felt that I built a real connection with my two main teachers – Maddie and David – who I would see each week in lectures and seminars.
