An industry-relevant education
Many of our academic staff are also consultants and practitioners in their disciplines. This means our courses reflect the needs of business and industry.
One of the ways we do this is through industry consultation through Industrial Advisory Boards. They provide an employer’s focus on our courses, making sure they’re always up-to-date and relevant to industry.
Work placements are part of some of our courses and a good way to develop professional skills in industry. If you have a business idea or want to develop entrepreneurial skills, there are a number of enterprise opportunities.
How you will learn
Alongside lectures, seminars and tutorials, you’ll explore your subject through private study and independent projects, laboratory practicals or fieldwork, depending on your course.
We’ve invested in digital technology to improve and support your learning experience. Use our digitally-enhanced teaching spaces to interact with your lecturers and work with your fellow students.
Access video and audio recordings of some of your lectures to support your independent learning. You can also study some courses with us through online and distance learning.
