Student support
At the University of Leeds, we’re with you every step of the way.
You will be supported by a range of expert staff and specialist services to help you succeed on your online course.
You will be able to access the same support as our on-campus students, right from your first point of contact with our dedicated admissions and enrolment team, all the way to to life after Leeds with our alumni team.
Support with your studies
During your course, you will have a designated academic personal tutor who will support your success, and ensure you feel part of our diverse and vibrant community.
Your tutor will:
- help you to review your academic progress and support your independent learning skills;
- encourage you to reflect on your learning, both within and beyond the curriculum, and to consider how it contributes to your professional development and career;
- support your personal and professional development, providing initial advice and signposting to career guidance, opportunities related to your studies and other useful services;
- support your wellbeing, listen when you feel overwhelmed or anxious and offer referrals to support services that can help.
My supervisor encouraged me, giving me positive feedback and good energy to continue. This made me realise 'OK, you are not alone'.
IT support
Technology should not be a barrier to online learning. We’ll provide you with a student IT induction, covering essentials such as your login, security and connecting remotely before you begin your course.
Our team of experts at the IT Service Desk will be on hand to support you with any IT issues you may have with University systems.
Wellbeing support
Your time with the University of Leeds will offer exciting opportunities and experiences, as well as the chance to meet new people and rise to new challenges.
